The event was led by Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar's Director of Integrity Partnerships for Latin America. The initiative is part of a series of training sessions that the sports technology company has been carrying out with clubs and federations around the world.
“Integrity is the basis of any sport. Therefore, strengthening the awareness of all professionals who work in football is essential to preserve fair play. The FMF is committed to following the best governance and ethics practices in sport,” highlights Gabriel Cunha, FMF's Director of Competitions.
During the workshop, participants had access to content on real cases, methodologies used by criminal organizations and the monitoring mechanisms that Sportradar applies with cutting-edge technology. Felippe Marchetti, who leads the training, reinforced how manipulation practices are diverse and it is important to be up to date to combat this crime within sports institutions.
"Result manipulation methods have become increasingly sophisticated, which makes it essential that everyone in the sports world is prepared to recognize and report these practices," said Felippe Marchetti.
"Information is a powerful tool in combating this crime. We believe that education and awareness are essential pillars so that together we can protect the integrity of football."
Once again, FMF is demonstrating innovation and continuous improvement in this partnership. The program is part of the preventive actions of Sportradar's global integrity system and has already been applied in entities such as Palmeiras, Sport, Vitória, Náutico and Athletico-PR. FMF was the first federation in Brazil to promote training with the company with a focus on refereeing.
